Yep, used them for Galaxy S5 (2) and for 2 more LG G6. It's a good site and right now prices for G6 are pretty low. I would buy from them again as I see them more reliable (cuz' of site checks etc) than ebay or Craigslist.

You aren't buying from Swappa but from a third party who listed and selling on the Swappa site. Just do your due diligence review of seller. If seller is new and deal is too good then it probably is. That said, I've bought and sold more than a dozen phones on Swappa. Only one bad experience but managed to get seller to refund.

I would recommend it, so long as you research the seller and check out buyer reviews of said seller.

If the seller has a lot of phones listed (2 or 3 is "a lot" on Swappa), that means that the seller is probably buying large lots from companies that are upgrading, and - if you're lucky - doing some minimum refurbishment on them. Sometimes they work fine, ans any scratches on the screen are so small you'll never find them. Other times, the phone is barely usable.

If the seller is a private party, I've had decent luck - most people selling on Swappa take pictures at such an angle that the slightest ding looks as if the phone got run over, so what you get is actually a lot better than what it looked like on Swappa. But, as with all good things, people looking for another avenue of profit have ruined a good thing.

I buy locally now. LetGo, OfferUP and other sites like that (but not Crasig's List), and particularly, by getting to know a few independent store owners, who sometimes take a phone in trade when a customer upgrades (and can end up not paying much for the phone - the "price" is what they would have applied as a discount -, so you can get it at a decent price).

I just got one today. $285 for a "new" phone with original box and all that comes in it. Supposed to have never been activated. Hopefully will be a good purchase.

Went with this instead of a refurbed V20 because it is way newer, and it should be supported by LG for a while.

I've only purchased one phone (Nexus 6p) on Swappa. It was a good experience. I would recommend it and will probably go back again at some point.

Did you end up buying a G6 from Swappa, OP?

Buying on Swappa or eBay etc. is always safe. PayPal is very buyer friendly. So if you did get a dude, you can always open a not as described case against the seller. So I wouldn't hesitate buying. Selling is another matter.

No problems I have seen so far after a week. Phone still had the screen plastic on it. Think I got a great deal.
