I've noticed that my G7's battery goes down 1% every 8-9 mins on Wi-Fi when browsing the Internet.

However, when on 4G and 4G+, it dries 1% every 3-4 mins (when browsing the same webpages as on Wi-Fi).

Is this normal? Phone is 2 weeks old, every app is updated. Sync and Location is switched off. Brightness is set at 30%. Battery saver is switched off.

    Thank you and appreciated.

If the LTE signal is weak, yes, it’s normal.

4g is a notorious battery hog. Always been that way. It gets far worse if the phone is struggling to maintain a 4 signal.

Maybe it's utilizing the new superfast LTE.. you can always change the speed to 4G or 3G on the mobile settings. Ask your carrier to do a signal reset, sometimes that works.

    Thanks.

It's already on the 4G setting - the highest that says 2G/3G/4G Auto. The lesser below it is 2G/3G Auto.

    It's normal.Reason as below:
The 4G signal uses the cellular data to access the Internet and requires high power to transmit data and find the network repeatedly. Therefore, the power consumption is high.
The wifi is stable and there is no need to search for base stations frequently. The power is low, so the power consumption is low.
