I have read Q1 2020. This is one example:
"We expect the final rollout will begin for G7 ThinQ in early-Q1 of 2020 and for V35 ThinQ in late-Q1 of 2020, for unlocked devices only."
Also read a similar statement on an actual LG forum; however, they also added the final is up to the provider but unlocked should be early 2020 with no definition of what "early" actually means.
I'll believe it when I see it and I do have a factory unlocked version.
so according to tmonews, tmo is sending Android 10 to the G7 and V40. I fired up my G7 (pixel 4xl is my DD now) to set if it gets updated. It downloaded 2 security updates but then installed Android 10
OK. I got Android 10 on both of my LG G7 phones on T-Mobile. The first thing I noticed it that GUI changed little bit and there is more system bloatware installed that you cannot disable without special app. I did not dig deeper to see what else changed. I will report my findings later. I will be looking specifically for COVID-19 tracer apps that are supposed to be built into the Android according to news reports from month ago.
Just got Android 10 on both of the G7 Thinq phones in this house. Nice to see that LG is making good on their promise to provide updated OSes on their phones for a longer period of time.
