What a disappointment

Just received my new G8 thinq unlocked from amazon yesterday. Spent all evening setting it up with apps and notifications etc. After all that I tried out some test calls and what do you know NO SOUND FROM THE EARPIECE. Looked through all the settings to make sure I didn't have something muted or turned down and could find nothing. Did a Google search to see if others had this problem and didn't find anything. The only way I could hear sound on calls was to turn on the speakerphone. I finally came to the conclusion that I had a defective phone and jumped on Amazon to get a replacement. Amazon is sending a replacement and it will be here tomorrow. You can bet the 1st thing I check is the earpiece sound. It is disappointing that a phone of this quality had such a basic thing wrong with it. I am still wondering if I missed some king of setting.

The G8 doesn't have an earpiece.... The whole screen is a speaker that acts as an earpiece. Did you miss that part? That's why you can't find it and why it doesn't sound good and is muffled sounding. I personally hated it and returned it.

The only way I heard any sound while making or receiving a call was when I tapped the speakerphone icon.

BTW I am the same person that posted the original note.
