Battery Stuck and Weird Dates

[Android Central Question]

Okay, so my 2016 lg k10 has been acting up lately. If I plug in the charger and let it charge to 100 percent, it stays at 100 percent until i pull the battery. It does NOT do this when i fully shut it down to charge. The date also goes wonky for a bit chnaging to december 31st. My phone is running Nougat with a software version of MS42820f if that helps.
