Charging, system notification sounds

My K10 charges erratically - I don't use it much, and from a full charge to the end of the day it generally drops from 95% to about 70% regardless of whether it's been used or not. Last night I plugged it in to charge at 76% and 8 hours later the charge was still at 76%; it virtually never charges to 100%, usually 95-96%. The battery has been replaced.

Also, when I plug it in to charge I often get one or several "beep-beep" sounds at random intervals. I don't know what these signify, and the display doesn't show anything related to the sounds.

Any suggestions?

Welcome to Android Central! When did you replace the battery, and where did you get the replacement from? It's always possible the battery you got is a dud. The phone is 3 years old, so the battery is probably about as old, and if it's been sitting around on a shelf for all of this time, it might have degraded significantly.
