I'm trying to install some apk apps onto my phone but the install button is grayed out. I enabled unknown sources and I don't have any known screen dimming apps. Its very frustrating and any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's possible that the APKs you downloaded aren't compatible with your phone or with the OS running on it.

This happens with my LG K7 as well, all you have to do is have the prompt up, turn off the screen, and turn it back on. after you do this, the install button shouldn't be grayed out. Hope this help you.

Welcome to Android Central! It doesn't have to be a screen dimming app -- any app that uses screen overlays can potentially interfere. See this article: https://www.howtogeek.com/271519/how...or-on-android/
