Hey so i bought an LG Leon almost a year back just to share internet to my laptop at work. it worked like a charm for a long time but now the problem is the hotspot keeps turning off totally randomly. Sometimes it doesnt stay connected at all, sometimes it connects for an hour, sometimes for ten minutes. Its annoying af just to realise your device has been disconnected again in the middle of something important. Im not sure but i think it started disconnecting after i updated my android to the latest version. Also my device memory is full - perhaps any connections there? Is there any way to roll back the update? I mean the update was like 2 months ago but i havent used the phone for the past month because i was on vacation.

Id appreciate some advice on this

See if it happens in Safe Mode: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-28954. If the problem goes away, then something you installed is probably the culprit. It can be challenging to figure out which app, though--you'd have to uninstall them one by one. You could start with FB and Messenger, since there seems to be some association (although that might have been coincidence).

Hmm clearing cache made it better for now. As long as that method works its fine for me. I guess in the long term i need to change that phone anyway.
    Thanks for the help

Edit: literally a minute after this post wifi crashed again Since i only have two installed apps on this phone - Facebook and Fb Messenger this shouldnt be too hard to determine. Although its a bummer not being able to use them, as long as i can share wifi its all good

For now, you can use Facebook's mobile site in the browser, which has just about the same functionality as the app (without the memory and battery hogging). FB messaging is harder to use in the mobile site, though--whenever you tap the Chat button, it prompts you to install FB Messenger. However, you can get around this by first tapping the browser's Menu button, then Request Desktop Site. After the site has reloaded, you should be able to use the Chat function.

Make sure to send Facebook some feedback about the crashes--maybe they'll fix it in an upcoming update.
