Elite rooted, need Link2SD help

Hi everyone, first time posting but have been lurking for a while. Anyways, I got my Elite yesterday and rooted it via the poot install. Everything worked perfectly, but now that I want to link some apps via Link2SD. I have a 32gb sd card and partitioned it via the Mini Tool Partition, both of the partitions are set as primary, as I did it before on my Optimus V. But when I install the sdcard to the phone it says its blank and does not want to mount the sdcard before formating it, which unpartitions it. I attemped partitioning with the sdcard installed to the phone, I know thats a no-no, but said that the card is damaged, so I formated again and left it as it is. Has anyone figured out how to 2nd partition a card without the phone doing a format of its own?
