gmail notification not show in thr notification bar.

I got the g pro yesterday love everything except some app (line ,gmail and Facebook ) notification not show up until I have to go to the app to see it or have to refresh every time.. I used many phone and never got this problem if someone know please let me know.
I have 14 days to return the phone but I like this phone a lot..

PS. I got the phone yesterday and I checked the update said the phone is up to date..is that right? Or they have any update already out.

I did.. Hotmail coming but gmail and Facebook won't show...

I am having the same issue my Girlfriend has the same phone and she has no issues have we found a settings fix for this issue yet

This was happened to me as well.
Try this
Open gmail, open settings, select your gmail account.
At the top it should say default inbox or priority.
Change it to priority.
Back out and select notifications
Then check the box to get notifications for all messages.
Hopefully this works.
I think it's because of new labels for categorized messages screwed everything up
Also select sound and vibration and make sure the box for receiving all notifications for labels is checked and sound and or vibrate is checked as well.
Default inbox opens it with labels.
Priority opens up all new messages as one thread except spam and trash
