    My zvc ota update fails every time it tries to update. It enters the screen with the Android and but the Android thing just dies on its back with a red exclamation mark over it. Any ideas on a fix or work around?

    You could try backing up your phone and then doing a factory reset to get everything back to stock. Are you rooted?

    Was. I unrooted and went back to a locked state before accepting the ota. Removed every trace of root I could I find.

    I never switched the rom. Which is what I find weird.

    This is happening to me too. I just tried reseting my phone and its still not updating to ZVC! I am getting pretty agrevaded by this phone.

    This phone is great. But the update is crappy. I installed twrp hoping it would install but an error occurs. I'll get a copy of the update log posted up

    Ok well signing in with my Google account didnt work so I just made an account. Im Eric Reno and anyways I think it does have something to do with the root. What I dont understand is I reset my phone so it deleted EVERYTHING (So it said).

    The update makes the phone soo much faster on Sprint service. +1 for the update.

    By the way, I fixed my Optimus G! It is the root that is stopping my phone from installing that update now and as you can see in the photo below, it's fixed!

    You could also use the LG Mobile Support Tool but it did not download the driver for my phone because it was rooted. Flashing would be the #1 thing to do though.
