notification bar not working

this morning my notification bar stopped working
When i try to slide it down nothing happens
Turning off the phone doesnt work either.
Its still there and whenever there is a notification it shows up in the top but i cant slide it down
Anyone knows what to do???

Welcome to Android Central! Did you actually reboot the phone, or only turn the screen off? Definitely reboot the phone if you haven't.

Yes rebooted several times
And even did a software update thinking this would help but it did not

Have you tried clearing the system cache in recovery mode?

Unfortunately, I don't think the Optimus G has that option in stock recovery. LG doesn't seem to like giving users that option on their non-Nexus devices.
