download in progress, do not unplug

I have an lg optimus g from sprint and I noticed today that when I plugged it in, the screen went black except the message saying download in progress, do not unplug. I didn't have any type of update or anything so I unplugged, held down power button and volume down button and the phone restarted. I plugged it back in and it happened again. what's up?

That's just the NSA. Nothing to be concerned about.

Looks like your device is in "download mode". Are you pressing both the volume up key and down key at the same time? If not, your volume keys might be stuck. Try pressing the keys up/down a few times and try powering it on again. Let me know if this works. ^DT
