LG Optimus G - Doesn't charge unless I unplug/replug battery

Hi!

I have a strange issue with my LG Optimus G after I have replaced the screen. After using the phone for a while I cannot charge the phone anymore. When I plug in the cable it says "Charging" on the lock-screen, but it doesn't show the lightning where the battery is and the battery percentage is not increasing. It's like it does not go into charge mode properly.

If I remove the battery connector and plugs it in again it works. Like something resets which leads me to think the issue could be software related?

I am running the latest Android 4.4 and I have of course tried several chargers and cables.

That sounds annoying. Have you tried a Cache Partition wipe?

Hi,

It's my thread but apparantly I had to create a user in order to reply.

I haven't tried a Cache Wipe and I'm not sure exactly how or what it is. Can you explain a bit further?

Welcome to the forums.

I was forgetting....it's an LG device, on which access to the Cache Partition is not readily done. But the same effect may be had by going to Settings, Storage, Cached Data, and clearing the cache.
