Slow charging

Hi all
I've recently had to replace my pc, it features a gigabyte m/board with on/off charging (pc charges phone even when pc is off) It is advertised as being for apple stuff but I KNOW that it works on a galaxy s4,only slow charges on l90 so far,any clues?

Welcome to Android Central! USB charging is always slower than AC charging. Are you saying that the USB charging rate now is measurably slower than the USB charging rate on your prior computer?

Hi, no, as u r probably aware,l90 has normal charge rate ie mains and usb which is traditionally limited to 500 milli amps,gigabyte have recently released a set of m/boards which utilise a thing called on/off charging,see above, but when i plug lg in it still says slow charge and seems to keep the slow mode even though more power is available

Oh sorry--I'm not that knowledgeable about those kinds of details. Have you tried a different cable?
