can someone assist me with my bootanimation issue

Hello, i have an optimus s and im currently on reborn-shell rom. i have made bootanimations when i was using thunderom. But now i cannt get them to work. I read that the 2 locations u can put a bootanimation in my current rom is data/local or system/media . So.. i have my animation, it has all user rights, i minimized it down to 2.5 MB. yet when i add the animation, my bootscreen is blank.. when i remove it.. i get the android bootanimation again yet i cannot find where that android bootanimation resides.... Any thoughts?

P.S yes i am zipping it in store mode.
