Never had that issue with either ROM, but Reborn runs Picasticks kernel with default clock settings at 748/245; CM7 is set at 600/480 by default. I also think the default brightness is set up in Reborn, but I could be mistaken. Both can be adjusted as you see fit.

Its weird on cm7.2 iho. I'm OC'ed to 786mhz performance screen all the way and plugged in fully charged ......its cold
on reborn I have reverse settings all turned down and its warm

Just the Rom without installing anything ...
Its not a problem but I had to point it out its definitely warmer at least for me more of a curiosity thing really
I usually just run kravens iho cm7.2
