First time ROOter. Phone dead? "updated"

I can now get into Emergency mode .. that's it. lg updater even when forced still dies trying to update the phone. and the phone no longer registers a model number just the fw ver. lg updater says it doesn't support this model.

This is for my Optimus S new from sprint with ZVD. iv been reading up on rooting for the past few weeks and decided id do it. well with my luck something had to go wrong.

Followed the directions to downgrade to ZV9
"Part 2: If you installed LS670ZVD and didn't have a custom recovery kernel
1) Downgrade to LS670ZV9 (not ZVC) as per this thread. Do NOT ask questions about reverting, force-flashing or KP500 in this thread.
2) Root V9 with z4root. Do NOT ask questions about z4root in this thread.
3) Flash either Xionia Clockwork Recovery or drellisdee's Custom Recovery. Do NOT ask questions about recovery kernel installation in this thread.
4) Using the LG Mobile Support Tool, update to LS670ZVD. Do NOT ask questions about the LG tool in this thread.
5) If you flashed Xionia Clockwork Recovery, continue to Part 3 or Part 5."

I did all the steps downgraded, rooted, and installed the customer recovery. rebooted into custom recovery. rebooted phone to upgrade back to ZVD with force from LG update tool. it ran through the update but got stuck at the sprint logo... i let it sit for another 15 mins thinking it was rebuilding itself. decided to pull the battery and let it start up again. still didn't work. pulled the battery again and did the combo to get back into the custom recovery and i was presented with the normal android recovery image .. 3e so i tried to get it into emergency mode and tried to re flash ZV9 to start over .. but now lg updater tells me that updating is no longer possible on my phone.. i followed every direction directly how do i recover from this ... even if i only get my stock ZVD back. i already lost all my contacts on my phone so i cant get much more screwd lol.
