New Member (Windowless) with Optimus S

Greetings and congrats on building this community.

I run Linux Mint and am interested in rooting my Optimus S with LS670ZVD, if only to remove the Sprint ID software and gain some additional partition space.

From what I've read I need a Windows box with the SDK etc. so I'm hoping one of you can steer me to glory with Linux only, or without a PC at all.

there is an sdk for linux

i run ubuntu and have it installed on my machine

with the new rooting process they released last week you should be able to do it running linux
the problem with using linux before was when you had to use the lg drivers. we know how those never come linux friendly
