Why are CM7 themes so scarce?

I am looking for a transparent cm7 theme but I cant find one.
I tried editing one but I couldn't figure out how to turn how to turn the zip in to an apk.

Is there a CM7 theme hub? instead of searching forum to forum and even the market.

They are scarce because of the amount of effort it takes to make one. These are not as easy to do as froyo roms. If you are looking for cm7 themes do a search in the market for cm7 and you will find plenty of them.

Making themes isn't hard at all. All you need to do is extract the framework-res.apk, modify the files in there, and then package them back up. Then push the framework-res.apk back to the phone and you're done I'm not sure about how to make themes for the built-in themer though.
