Detach superuser from market

Hi folks..
A little issue I'm running into, described below.
I am trying to detach superuser from the market, so I am not prompted to update it constantly. Titanium Backup does not list the app, so I cannot use their "detach from market" feature. I also read that "mybackup pro" was able to do this, and that others reported success. But when attempting to do so, it pops up the error "unable to open market db".
Is there anything else I can try? Even something manual, cli?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

In SU preferences you can turn off outdated binary notification.

Thanks for the response, but unfortunately that doesn't detach the app from the market
