water damaged phone

hi guys i have an lg optimus s with out service and my phone was in pocket but one day it was in the washer then the dryer when took it out it was wet so i let it sit for a couple of hours to dry when i turned on the phone (still works) the sound on my speaker and headphone jack was complety gone is there a way to fix it because i want to use the phone on virgin mobile?:(

At this point I would guess no. You would have to replace some of the hardware.

For future reference, if you put your phone in the drink, throw it in rice for DAYS. no battery in it, taken apart totally. A few hours sitting out will not dry it out enough.

well i guess i have to go to a cell phone repair shop

Your better off using Moisture Absorbing Silica Gel packets. Rice doesn't really absorb much unless your cooking. The important thing is to not power it on.

Dont go to a repair shop with a phone like that.
