I'm seriously considering the V10. Right now I have an iPhone 6s+. I previously had a Note 5 (burned a jump going to it).

The V10 has a larger and higher resolution display, but it doesn't display as much information on the display as the iPhone or Note 5. I looked at Android Central on them side by side and the difference is pretty substantial.

Does this bother anyone that has used either of the phones I mentioned?

(A secondary consideration, I would only have one jump left for the next 9 months or so, which is also giving me pause)

I haven't used either mentioned device. However, something that sticks out for me is the physical size. Its larger than the G4 slightly, probably making the size of the device closer to the Nex6. Food for thought.

It's almost identical to the 6s+ in size so that's not a deal breaker.

It's the information density and burning a jump on it that has me questioning it.

People get caught up in stats too much.
I don't think the difference is perceptible. They are different screen types.
Go to a Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile store, put them side by side and decide which you like better.
You may see a profound difference that eliminates one of the three.
Or maybe, like me, you think the three all have great screens and move on to other factors to make your decision.

i think the op is talking about what is actually shown on the screen and the the screen itself.

Yeah. More emails on the screen at a time, more of a website on the screen at a time.

It's like LG said "hey, let's put this awesome high resolution screen on the phone and then make things bigger."

You can change the font size, but that didn't seem to be a system wide thing or have the effect I thought it would when I was looking at it in the store.

I could just be over thinking it too. It might be easy to adjust to given everything the phone is good at. Just have to deal with more scrolling all the time lol.

The on screen button is what takes real estate. A 5.7 inch screen turns into a 5.4 or 5.5 inch screen. Also I have used up all 3 of my jumps already. Burning up my last jump on the v10 coming from a Note 5. No regrets.

How long until your jumps reset? I'm thinking ahead to the Galaxy S7, LG G5, and whatever HTC does. I'll have one jump with potentially three top tier devices to choose from.

Not that the V10 isn't top tier (it is), but the three devices above are definitely going to be next-gen.

So I started on Jump in June (which is when the program started or near it) and I asked the associate that very question. I didn't know that come next June if I get all 3 jumps refreshed or if I get them back one whole year after every jump. The associate said every June all my jumps get refreshed. I'm good with that because I'm ready to settle with just one phone for a while. And either note 5 or LG V10 will solve that I just used the jump plans to play with 3 phones (note 5, s6 edge, and v10) and then decide which one I wanted (I would use my wife's jump because she doesn't care which phone she uses and would use whatever I gave her)

I'm on tmobile jump program decided to try out the new lg v10 phone coming from Samsung note 5 had the lg ph one day 24 hours everything is nice had to charge the pH 3 times maybe bc I'm playing with it and setting things up why it ate up so much battery life anyways the second screen is kinda a gimmick it don't do much I didn't like the fact that the lg don't have any light notifications plus my wife has the Samsung Galaxy 6edge plus and she has the notifications that come on side edge to me is more then what lg offers on top second screen I kept my note 5 nothing beats the note 5 or iPhone when it comes to notifications and all the bells and whistles in my opinion.
