I think the fingerprint sensor is even faster at unlocking the device then the Verizon Note 5. Now that it's running on Marshmallow!!!

Nice to know. Now I have a reason to look forward to MM, once the V10 on T-Mobile gets it.

Yep Mine is faster too. I kept telling myself I would hold out with LP for a few days just to get a general consensus on MM... obviously curiosity got the best of me. Happy overall with the upgrade.

The update status on TMO hasn't changed in several months. It isn't even showing that they've started testing yet. No explanation and nobody there knows what the delay is about.

T-Mobile never wants to talk about updates and they always point you to that stupid software status page that isn't always up to date.

However, I'm pretty sure that status page didn't get updated for the G4 until after it was leaked that the rollout was imminent.

Also, the open source code for the T-Mobile version is available so they should at least be testing.

It's probably around the corner and should be out very soon since the open source codes are already live, also about the G4 T-Mobile didn't update the page till a day or 2 after it was already rolled out so was with the HTC One M8/M9 and the LG G Stylo

Yeah they're good about not letting employees know things lol... worked Tech for them from 08-14... and it was usually like that... unless it was within a couple of days, you were clueless...

Never used it before, easier than swiping I can tell ya that.

Question though, can you register more than 1 print? I don't always use the phone in the same hand.

I think he believes you don't lock your phone, so if you leave your phone unattended someone can pick up your phone and open it via the swiping of the lock screen. Where as I believe you are probably using a pattern lock and believe that just doing the pattern is easier.

From my perspective (on Verizon), this was taken care of some time mid-January. The only time I have a problem with or without the otterbox case is when my finger tips are dry and callous, then I have to use the knock code.

The only app I've seen the fingerprint scanner work great with is Paypal. Haven't noticed the option on any others yet.

PayPal supported it already, at least on my phone. I know that Dashlane should also be supporting it, which will be awesome
