Preorder is apparently 10/17 or 10/21. Whichever you want to believe..... Then the time from preorder to actually getting it. I'm wagering towards the end of month for US.

Meanwhile all they're doing is sending pre production units to all reviewers and asking them not to do full reviews. Almost a full month since LG for on stage and said some things. If there was an issue in the hardware process at least give consumers the comfort that those issues are being ironed out and cause for the delay. By saying nothing and meanwhile letting everyone else get a chance at potential buyers makes no sense to me.

Hopefully this is true! I really want to figure out, once and for all, what my next upgrade choice will be (I'll feel more satisfied knowing that); and I've got my sights set on this one.

Well it "allegedly" shipped in South Korea already so there's that. But given the quietness of LG and their marketing team I doubt that it really shipped and non of the reviewers have been supplied with final retail units to replace their pre production units yet. Way to go LG. You're really showing these other OEMs how it's done.
