I'll post more pictures later but just wanted to share a quick comparison of long exposure shots with and without a decent ND filter. Both shots are unedited JPEGS and not the RAW files that I'll edit later. You can do some amazing things with a good ND filter though. Manual focus. ISO:50 SS:30" for both.

With variable ND filter. Anything 8 and over is fine though.

Without the ND filter.

Here is the ND filter I used.

bought off eBay or Amazon. Here's an ND4 and ND2 filter I stacked on top of each other to do some other shots I took tonight that I'll post later.

Regretting not going downtown on this beautiful 50 degree night but I'll be prepared the next time I do.
