Ringtone volume

With my old G4, I would have heard my phone blasting whenever I had a call coming in. Last night, I missed a call with the phone next to my bed (same ringtone). I saw something about removing the grill to get better volume, but I know that will void my warranty. Has anyone figured out a good, safe way of blasting the volume?

Why not customize the ringtone and play some LOUD music as the ringtone? I'm trying to find a way to make the notification tones louder. I am on call for my job and I get texted in the middle of the night, sometimes. And I've slept thru the texts/SMS.

Well, it was loud (startlingly loud) on my old phone. I guess what you're suggesting is to find something even louder?

I've never had a volume issue. I guess the only solution which was already suggested would be to use a louder ring tone.
