I dont really have the Coin for the v30 and honestly from what I see hardware wise I prefer the v20, although the v30 screen is nice. I like the idea of just swapping out a battery.

Where I live they cost about $540. Thats about my budget.

To give you some idea, a Nokia XZ Premium is about $799

And a Nokia 8 is Dual Sim is $600ish. Thats my other option.

Id love an Oled, Im not afraid of importing via Ali Express or Amazon, BangGood etc.

The ZTE Atmos 7 seems to get a lot of positive feedback and its OLED and clearly its speakers rock and it has a dac, just not as good as the LG, its about $350 imported when you can find one. But the sell like hot cakes.

The bootloops never really affected the V20. Some can always happen with any phone for any number of reasons. The issue specific to the G4 and V10 was a design flaw with the hardware and was addressed so that it didn't happen with newer models like the V20. I know the V20 and a few others were included in the lawsuit, but I think that was just the lawyer being greedy (which is redundant, I know). There have been no wide spread bootloop issues on it.

The V20 is very affordable right now and is a SOLID performer.. there are mid-rangers at the same price with lower specs. There IS NO BOOTLOOP on the V20, they fixed it starting with the LG G5 and beyond.. They really took it to heart and learned their lesson with the G4 and V10. Any bootloop you hear about the V20 had no proof to back it up, either they used cheapo USB C cables, tried to modify the OS software, or it got water damaged or other physical damage. My V20 is almost 1.5 years old and I have not had 1 problem, phone runs like it did new. LG had step their game up and their phones are excellent Android devices with the most feature you'll find on any smartphone. The removable battery is one of its kind nowadays.

Also, FYI, I have an LG Optimus Fuel that's 3.5 years old, I use it every single day for music streaming. No bootloop, no problems. Apple and Samsung are known to slow down their phones, either that or design the phone to automatically die within a period of time. LG products lasts a long time. They are one of the best TV manufactures in the world.

Just bought a V20 used off Swappa for $260. I don't think I will ever pay full price for a phone again.

Note 5 too old. Battery will be an issue. Phone is not ergonomic.. thick metal bezels and a glass body. Keep in mind this was Samsung's first generation of glass body phones.. kinda thick compared to today's.

Nice find! Man that's such an incredible price for such a great and useful phone. This is the longest I've ever kept a phone because I'm really happy with it so far. I expect it to last a long time since I have 4 batteries I'm cycling through. I've spent a lot on phones over the years, I think it's time to be smart and stick with one phone (which is the V20). Nothing really excites me right now, all phones are made of glass now.. not very durable honestly.

Well yes but Im after productivity. The battery is easy to replace. Yes glass is always not to my liking. The thickness doesnt worry me, its the functionality the pen provides that makes it of interest, no other phone compares. Just like the quad dac in the v20, what else compares.

Battery looks easy to replace but it's very tricky. I'd be careful trying to replace it. I used to own the Note 2 & 3... the pen is not really useful because the screen of the phone is still too small to write or draw anything... an S Pen is much useful for a tablet sized display. The newest Galaxy Tab S has an S Pen I believe. Also, I'd be careful because Samsung has been "slowing down" older devices like the Note 4 which coincidentally all died around the same time via OTA update... 2 friends I knew had to trash their perfectly good Note 4s. I'm never updating my phones again.

Ive replaced one on my old note, looks hard, is hard but if your use to taking electronics apart and have the tools, ifixit does the rest.

I love pens on the Note. its not really an art system, its a producitvity, as a solutions architect and user experience designer, its very handy for putting together prototype ideas that i export to my notebook. also the pen should be used like a mouse more than anything, being able to highlight text on a car and having it converted to text and then translated to english is very handy for example. its just so much more precise than a finger could ever or would ever pretend to be.

im not off the v20, i still think its the best multimedia device available. although im moving toward OLED and HDR10 compliant phones for netflix etc, the G6 and V30 are both compliant as is the galaxy note 8. tough choice there.
