I am not a techie like all of you but I need help please! I just downloaded Oreo on my LGV20 and am having all kinds of problems. I get disconnected with the AW, SNAP message all the time. Wi-Fi and internet connections fail alot. My camera froze 3 times today. The screen dims and goes black after 3 seconds while on a call-- (a bad safety issue!) and
my homescreen suddenly populates slowly. Please help in easy terminology.
I hate this Oreo. The phone call screen is all green now instead of the easy to read half white and half green screen.
Predictive typing is not good either and keyboard always is hard to use- seems inaccurate and suddenly capitalizes for no reason!!

Did you reset it after the upgrade? If not, sounds like you probably should.

Hi , thanks to you both in this reply.
Are you meaning a factory reset where I have to back up everything? No. I have many folders I have curated over a year and cant face manually doing that. I did take out the battery, restarted it, cleaned a cache.
Right now as I type and hit the backspace button, it stubbornly capitalizes.

Also, I silenced all notifications in my settings and on Apps wherever possible and yet I still get an incoming noise anyway. Can't figure out which app is doing it, after checking new notifications against the corresponding app.

Sigghhh.... Why do we as consumers have to deal with this?!

To silence an app's notification go to System Settings, Apps & Notifications, App Info, [find your app on the list and tap it], App notifications, tap the ellipsis (...) on All, tap Importance, tap Medium (no sound) and back out.

Thanks Scott! I found that 2 apps produced sound in spite of this fix and I turned off the sound in the app itself. ( I think!) Hopefully that will stop it.

I wear a bluetooth hearing aid neckloop for phone calls and when those notification noises come through, they zoom loudly thru my hearing aids!I bet these companies are not aware of such things.

    With phone off.
Clear cache by going into Recovery Mode.
Hold volume down and power button same time.
Then scroll down to clear cache. Now power it on!
If this does not fix it. Factory Data Reset phone!
    Just remove SD card 1st.

Thanks for the advice. Some of the glitches are calming down but as everyone else has complained about also, is that the call screen dims down and goes black while on a call. This is actually dangerous and is a safety issue!
