Honestly, I pre-ordered the Note 8 as well but no one cares about the stylus other than a tiny niche market.

I know but I was hoping. Back in 2013 everyone had them and now there is nobody. The V30 is nice but nothing is screaming at me to make me want to upgrade from my S8+

If you don't need the dedicated DAC then you are in good hands. The S8+ is quite capable.

Then again, I didn't really have any reason to ditch my V20 for the S8+ either. Lol. I always talk like I'm going to keep my phone for a full year and then I never do. For some reason, Samsung phones do not send metadata for album, artist and track names to my car via bluetooth whereas LG and HTC does. That might get me to switch back.

If V30 had at least 4000mah battery, at least 8mp quality selfie along with larger screen, wider, that would fit for me.

As it seems, for me at least, the Mate 9 is the phone to beat, best combo of the excellent wide screen, huge battery, great performance and great cameras.
