Absolutely no need for a wide angle lens when you can take a good panorama.

That's not the same thing no matter how you slice it and dice it. I can count the number of times of used panorama on any device including DSLRs.
Don't get me wrong... Panorama isn't bad by itself but it's not the same as a wide angle snap shot.
It may work for you and that's OK, but we are talking about two different things and the V30 has both.

Yep different things, one of which I have no need for.

Not over the Note 8 there aren't.

It's OK to feel that way on a personal level and you made your choice. For me the Note 8 does not cut it and I don't need the stylus or its features. One specific feature is the audio output... Not even close. There quite a few camera features that I prefer on the V30 as well. I like other things about the V30 as well, but it's all a personal choice. The Note 8 is a great phone but it's not great for everyone otherwise all of us techies and high end phone buyers would be buying it.

I did make my choice and I'm very happy with it. You're absolutely right, the Note 8 is a great phone.

Is the V30? Eh. Remains to be seen. You know, since you can't even buy it and have no idea when you'll be able to.

No need for you to worry

I think the V30 will be a great device. Unfortunately, I lost interest in my G6 and I think the V30 is too similar. I will enjoy seeing it as Best Buy and seeing how it is. I absolutely LOVE my Note 8 though. It ticks all my boxes...which is why Android is awesome. So many phones to choose from that there surely is something for everyone.

I want to try it but battery life will be a huge deciding factor. I'm spoiled by Moto devices.

Can't stand the Note 8. Just never got on that band wagon. But it always cracks me up when I see people happy to get 16 hours out of a device. That would be way short of my expectations. But everyone has different reasons and uses for a device.

Photos......I take a few but not enough to really care.

Now the 600mhz on t-mobile and this phone being able to access it could be Huge! Going to wait awhile and see how that plays out.

I know what you mean about Moto devices. My Droid Maxx had a 3800 battery which was good for most of the day. I think it was a bad move for the Moto Z2 to go with a small battery.

Yeah I still use a Z Play for daily device and have a Z Force. Here's a screen shot from Z Play yesterday. I am now at 42 hours with 22% left. So to consider a new device......it will need to do better than a day.
