Got my LG V30 today at AT&T store

The store only had 2 units and they only had silver.

I originally wanted black, but the silver is okay. I'll be using a case and a skin that will hide the back anyway.

Beautiful phone. I had the LG G6 and its too bad there's nothing wrong with it. I mainly upgraded for the OLED screen and the sleeker rounded design.

Here's the case I ordered that arrives tomorrow. I've had obliq cases in the past and they're probably the best looking and protective cases out there.

My local AT&T store where I got my V10 and V20 had no display model. I'm selling my V20 before I buy the V30 so I can get some money back to pay it off.

I'm enjoying it so far! Screen is amazing. Feels good in the hand. I can definitely tell the difference with the Q-DAC with the high quality headphones I have.

I was able to sell my LG G6 on ebay for $315 to help cover for the cost of the new phone.

How is the screen in terms of outdoor visibility? Are you able to see it in direct sun?

Does the screen colors look on par with the note 8 screen and does the camera pic look soft ? The g6 pics looked way to soft to me and I returned it

I personally find the photos are just as good, however I have not done a full side by side comparison. I will try to do that tomorrow and post the results here.

How is the shutter lag vs say an original Pixel or Note 8?

Just got the V30. Not too crazy over the silver and should have gotten black.

However the LTE in my area is terrible and unlike my Note 8, I cannot force my phone into HSPA+ on the LG. So it may be going back anyway.

I am on AT&T. Also have Verizon but I am putting a Pixel 2 XL on that line.

It's a shame, I like the feel of the V30.

Going by the performance, hand feel, size, weight and overall ease of use I replaced my Note 8 with the v30. I love it!

I picked mine as well, I too wanted black and checked a couple stores but none were to found. Has anyone even seen the black? I am getting used to the silver and the contrast is nice. Just would have been nice to compare them. Either way I like this much better than the g6 and I really liked that phone
