It's tough in those because you are also fighting movement and low light.

Yes but I saw that my focus, using manual, was off as well. But that's the challenge of a panning shot. You have to use a slower shutter speed and move with the subject. I just haven't mastered it yet.

You can also try increasing shutter speed a bit.

I have but not on this phone. I am a dirt track racing fan so i have taken ****s there. I also have taken live concert shots but the movement was more subtle

Some RAW captures edited from Lightroom Mobile. I'm still enjoying this phone system even though the shutter lag is a little annoying. Favorite way to shoot is manual and edit later. Noise is kept to a minimum and details are pretty well reserved for my tastes. The V30 is just a lot of fun day or night. These were taken at a carnival all handheld.
