Well, I switched from the Note 8 to the V30 because I thought the phone display looked good, and because the dual camera with wide angle would be nice. I knew I'd be giving up Samsung Pay and the awesome display of Samsung and I like the overall Samsung features, but I wasnt digging an Spen. Anyway, I don't dig the LG UI, I miss Samsung Pay a lot and the LG camera is great but I can get by without it. Overall the V30 is a sweet phone and will do well. It's just down to preference. I got an S8+ new in box for $575 and I'll be happy with that. Just got to get this V30 back to T Mobile by the 28th to be in return window. Enjoy your V30s, it is a great phone.

Thanke for sharing. V30 was pretty much everything you expected it to be. You ended missing thing you thought you were gonna miss.

The reason to buy a v30 is the DAC. If you are not an audiophile, it is then a matter of personal opinion.

I hated the S8+, I left it to a side and continued using the Mate 9 waiting for the V30 to be released. I still think I prefer the Mate 9 over the V30, the Mate 9 does seem faster after 10 months of use vs the V30 that I've only owned for less than a week.

Definitely, but the camera is a big plus. My pics are amazing.

I have the V30 and the Note 8, using the Note 8 as my primary driver. But I am absolutely in love with both of them!

It's not like the v30 is that much cheaper than the note 8. Just my opinion but I wouldn't think price would be the deciding factor between the two. If I can spend $800 or more for the v30 I better be able to afford the note 8 or I can't afford either.
