Did anyone try listening using APTX-HD with compatible earphones/erabuds?
listening to FLAC/other Hi-res files and streaming (Tidal HiFi)
Please share your sound quality impression and which earphones were used.

I think the sound quality would be better if you just stick to the 3.5mm jack due to the quad dac.

I've tried my bose qc3, klipsch reference headphones, and klipsch 4 earbuds. All sound amazing when listening to my flac files. I m using the onkyo music player. But I've had no issues with the stock player.

Aptx-hd receivers have dacs in them too...often times better than this phones dac.

Doubt it but any time a signal is reencoded (happens with BT) the audio quality is degraded.

I recently just bought the Beyer Xelento Wireless (with Aptx-HD) to try out with the phone. I have been playing with them for about 2 days now. The sound coming out from these tesla drivers is amazing. It's almost as good as my IE800 daily driver, but also a step up from my HD 4.40BT (aptX) which I only use while flying.

I just got HD 4.40BT (aptX) and they are better than my Tone Platinums, which are great, but not as big of a sound stage...
