LG V30 Gallery App File Sharing Not Working

Hi,

I cannot share images from the gallery app anymore. If I try to use Beam share it says file sharing has stopped working. If I try any of the other options it says that specific app has stopped working. This is only a new thing as it was working recently. This includes gmail.

Is there a way to get it back up and running?

That's not a sharing problem, it's an Android problem. Have you tried restarting the phone?

Thanks for the response.

Yes I've done a restart, a turn off, reset app preferences, reset cache in storage. I booted to safe mode and it did let me share to email. Beam wasnt an option in safe mode.

Not sure.

Im loathed to do a factory reset so if I can avoid it...

And it only seems to do it with images taken by the camera or screenshots. I put an image on the phone and the gallery is letting me share it...

If I take a photo with the phone and click the view thing in the bottom right it says cannot open file. Yet I can open it if I go into Gallery. Though then I have the sharing issue.
