This news, well, no brainier...I'm NOT going to buy another phone a few months after just getting the V30. The improvements on the V30s seem incremental.

Was wondering if we might see any OTA upgrades comparable to the new camera modes, AI, etc with either Oreo or simply an LG update?

    Seems so.

Many of the AI stuff will be coming to the V30 "non-S" in a software update

I'm waiting on the V30s with 256GB storage. Does anyone know if the camera will be greatly improved or just slightly?

Yeah...low light shots will use reduced MegaPixels to improve performance

I would assume so! Plus, it's not like the V30 came out a long time ago... I'm sure you guys will get some stuff! The V30 is more than capable of running new upgrade stuff.

Pixel binning a 2x2 photosite cluster into one pixel does great things for low-light photos, at the expense of resolution.

I've read most articles stating some/all of the upgrades will eventually hit the V30. Only one article said probably not. Hoping that article was wrong.

    4Mpx giving a usable picture ... hmmm ... maybe 1999 ...
I am highly doubtful but ready to be positively surprised

Not usable for cropping & framing, but probably good enough for social media and the like.

    Would someone pay more for a V30 vs a S9+ & Snapdragon 845 chip... Don't think so.
