My V30 won't use the third party messaging app

[Android Central Question]

Ever since the recent system update my V30 has had some problems with texting. I use Next SMS app for texting. It worked great before the update. But now some messages come through to Next SMS while others will only show in the stock messaging app. I have to keep going back and forth and its a nuisance. I don't like the stock app. I've made sure that Next SMS is the default app for texting so I'm not sure what to do. Has anyoneelse experienced this and if so how did you fix it? Thanks.

Thank you. Yes I've done that. It still continues to pull messages into the stock app. It's like I never disabled it.

Keep in mind that your SMS messages are stored in a SQL database.
Any app that knows how to read that can read and send SMS messages for you.
