I came to my V30 from the HTC 10, and hardly looked back. The sound is similar though a bit more neutral on V30, vs more gain on the 10 (comparing 1/8" output only). The screen is big and beautiful. Going back to the 10 after I crushed my 1st V30 (glass + metal = not very durable), I felt the screen was cramped on the HTC. The lack of bezels, notch or chin I still feel is unbeatable compared to anything past or recent. I admit using it one handed can be tricky sometimes unless you have large hands.
I get excellent battery life at work, finishing off 14 hour days around 30% with moderate use including some video. Battery life at home is worse, probably because I'm on it a lot more. WiFi is incredibly fast, but I only use it when I'm connecting to another device. Otherwise T-Mobile flies here in Chicago.
After I crushed my original, I found a V30+ locally and have been even happier with it than the V30. The widescreen camera is a must-have once you use it. Get it, then put it in a good TPU case. Then I recommend you not drop it off a street curb and run over it on a heavy bicycle! Btw the original V30, torqued, twisted and both sides shattered, still works via HDMI & OTG.
