It's been little over 2 months since I received my V35 and my initial review. Dang this is a good phone. Since I've had this phone, there's been some new phones that's been released, but still no phone envy. And the upcoming V40 doesn't seem to be too big of an upgrade from the V35. It's unfortunate this phone has been so overlooked. Some of my updated thoughts on the phone
    - Still feels great in hand. The build quality is still great.
    - Love the battery life. I have lowered the screen resolution to the mid-level setting. Other than that, I have use the phone like all my previous phones. Unplug at 6am and re-plug around 11pm. With 3.5 hours of SOT, I still have 40-50% battery left. Sometimes, I just leave it on Youtube just so I can see my battery life go down to under 20%. Seriously, it's nice not worrying about battery life.
    - To me screen still looks great. Maybe I'm not very perceptive regarding screen issues, but I have no complaints with the V35 screen.
    - Again, not having a notch is great. There's no need for a notch, ever. Too bad the V40 might have a notch.
    - No issues with the camera. Still takes great pics and still love the wide angle option.
    - Currently, I have 112 apps installed (including the preinstalled ones). Still flies without any lag. Having 6gig RAM probably helps. I've yet to encounter any slowdown (other than updating bunch of apps at once)
    - No complaints with the LG skin. I'm one of those that's not a big fan of vanilla android. The features that LG added has been more helpful than not. Who doesn't like KnockON?
    - I like having the power button integrated with the fingerprint scanner. I also wish they kept the volume switch on the back like the G2/G3/G4. Would've made the phone look cleaner.
    - Still using the headphone jack.
    - Started using the Face Recognition feature. Dang fast.
    - For some reason, the infinite loop option gets disabled about once a week, usually after I do a mass app update. It's little annoying.
    - Very few cases for the V35. Looks like Tudia and Ringke are the only one who are making a V35 dedicated case. Wish there were more options, like a good wallet case.
    - I did drop the phone once, from about 3 feet high. Luckily it was in a case and had a tempered glass screen protector. Screen protector cracked, but the phone survived, no scratches anywhere and the phone still works fine. You never know how a phone would survive a drop, even with a case, but it looks like this phone is built pretty tough.

It's too bad lot of people (and reviewers) overlooked this phone. It's a phone without any compromise. I would say it's the best phone of 2018 and something I might keep beyond 2019.

Well I haven't had mine for that long since I just got it from Project Fi and it seems to be doing really great. I think what hurst LG is it's past reputation on QC and just leaving phones in anguish. So far just like you I haven't had any issues and this has been a wonderful change of pace. LG just needs to tighten up on software upgrades and keep the QC on phones built high. It is a hidden gem of 2018 that because of past reputation just gets forgotten. I chose this phone over the LG G7 ThinQ since it had more ram and the same features on project fi also being $300 off since it probably isn't selling well.

And surprisingly it has far more LTE bands than the LG G7 ThinQ despite both being Unlocked models on Project Fi.

Great points... One more thing I'd add is the vibration motor is awesome!

The only thing I'd like is G7 speakers.. I haven't heard them personally but I hear they're crazy good...

I agree with most of the above, and have been generally very happy with my V35. My only real gripe is the VERY weak vibration strength.

I have mine set to maximum for new calls, etc, but often feel nothing, even when the phone is right on my hip or in a pocket. For that matter, even the ring is weak (regardless of volume settings) compared with my prior phones (a long string of BlackBerry devices, interrupted by one Nokia Lumia).

I also really miss LED notifications, but knew about that difference before I purchased the V35.

Otherwise, it's wonderfully stable, with great battery life.

I am still trying to decide if I should upgrade from my current Galaxy S7+ edge.

I have three choices I can pay 30.00 and trade my phone in early. 2nd I can pay almost 190.00
to upgrade early still keeping my S7 Edge. 3rd I can just buy the phone at full price which is tough
to do while trying to put money down on a vacation in December.
Actually there is a 4th choice I can wait tell the phone is paid in full April 2019.

Maybe the LG V35 will be more affordable to just pay in full.
