How do I get video to fit the screen? It does it automatically with Netflix but won't do it with Hulu.

If there's no "fit to screen" choice in the Hulu app's menu, it's up to Hulu to add it, or to modify their app to see the size of the screen and fit to it. You can email them at mobilesupport@hulu.com.

It's all up to the developer to choose how their applications handle video scaling.

With the phone vertical and you tap the playing video, top right hand corner is an outlined box, that makes it go full screen.
If you notice the video does not go to the end on both sides, but if you tap screen again you will see the progress bar at the bottom does.
This shows that Hulu is aware of the screen size but is not formatting the video to use the whole screen. My Guess is its a ratio thing, if they make it stretch to the ends it will look funny. Just a guess.

Zoom is the best alternative. You lose a little from original format but all the action tends to be in the middle of the field of vision anyway and nothing is distorted.
