I've been using message+ but I'm looking for something better where I can still customize people I message the most but also send fun things like cartoonish pictures on birthdays and stuff.

I'd prefer to us Pulse app because it's awesome. But I'm currently using Google messages until/if RCS is made available in 3rd party apps because I have my wife and several friends that I'm able to use it with

When I had an LG phone, I used the stock messaging app and Textra. Now, on my S10, I use the stock messaging app, with WhatsApp for work messaging.

Google Messages. RCS works great...

I tried the stock T-Mobile messaging app that came with my V60 but it was too buggy for me.

I use Textra mostly, on Nova. Fantastic app, very customizable. I do use Google Messages on One UI because I'm an icon dork and hate Textra's icon with One UI.

I too wasn't a huge fan of Textra's icon. I thought it was just me! Yay! I am totally an icon dork too!

I have been using Verizon's Message+ since I first started on Android with an HTC Incredible more than 10 years ago. In 10 years I still haven't encountered anything sufficiently robust or customizable to compare to it, so I stick with what I like.

I use stock messaging on the Samsung S10+ as it supports RCS, but I used Google Messages on my Pixel devices. It is also available on the Web.

I have used Textra, pulse and also Chomp.
