So, my notifications have been so sporadic using an ATT Urbane 2 with Number Sync enabled. After reading countless threads I finally disabled Number Sync and just set my watch and phone up through BT and it's working flawlessly.

It seems from what I've been reading that by enabling Number Sync, my SMS's are coming directly from the cell tower to my watch - independent of my phone and the antenna on the watch just isn't that good so I wasn't getting most of my notifications.

Since Number Sync is costing me 10/month and it isn't working I think that ATT should allow me to cancel it - but they won't. Has anyone else had any experience yet with trying to get out of this 10/month for 2 years? Any luck? Any ideas?

    Thanks

I don't think you are paying for numbersync your paying for the access fee, data, mins and text. At least that's my understanding. I doubt they'll let you get away that easy but it's worth a shot.

No, you don't pay for NumberSync. It is free but you need a plan for watch to take/make phone calls and use cellular data. For AT&T, the $10 plan is the cheapest you can get.

But I agree NumberSync is not worth the trouble. You have to keep the cell radio on in order to receive messages. That will drain my battery at least twice as fast because places I stay most have weak signal.

Using the watch on a a prepaird carrier or honestly just buying the Normal Urbane seems like a better option in some cases.

NumberSync is an AT&T only feature. If you don't have an AT&T version of the watch or not using it on AT&T network, it is a different story.

When I first got the watch having the cellular feature was cool. Until I was in an area with bad reception and the low signal battery drain was real. Since then I've just disabled LTE. When I paid off the watch last week I cancelled the plan too. Thinking of just going the prepaid route to have LTE if I needed it
