Onda v812 trying to get into fastboot to unlock my bootloader to install ubuntu

I cant get my onda v812 into fastboot mode. All that i have read about tablets is a button combination involving the volume keys, the problem is that my tablet only has home and power keys. I have tried apps and i have tried useing the android sdk on my Linux Mint 14 computer and the terminal (fastboot oem unlock, adb reboot bootloader). I have also tried the android-sdk on my wifes windows 7 computer. The directions it come with are in chinese, and i looked online for a english manual but could not find one. It has custom firmware and cwm so its rooted. I want to install ubuntu but without fastboot I can't unlock my bootloader. Any help would be appropriated.
