This is my problem. I bought a Captivate off Ebay with a custom rom. I started deleting useless files the previous owner had and must have deleted one with some market info in it. I have reinstalled the Market using the sideload machine and sometimes it works for days and sometimes doesn't right after install. A mesage states success if I install it as an update but failed if like new install since the file already exist. I have installed file explorer and rom manger to try to find out what rom is on the phone. I hate to reinstall the rom since this issue has me already in over my head. Thanks.
