I am wanting to install Wells Fargo Mobile for Android, but I am reluctant to do so because it requests permission to take photos or "collect images the camera is seeing". I'm curious, why would my banking app need this permission? Does this also mean they can remotely transfer my current photos to their server? Additionally, I don't know why they need to know my location (GPS permission) but that I can live with.

I am running Android 2.2 on LG Optimus V (unrooted). I appreciate all feedback.

"Camera permissions are necessary for you to use the Mobile Deposit feature. (Currently available in Connecticut, New York, Washington, the San Francisco Greater Bay Area, Nebraska, Kansas, and much of Arizona)."

    Sorry! Please close this thread.
