    Update

I updated last night. I have a US 16gb Wifi only Tab 7 plus. Also have a 16gb Micro SD installed. It was rooted. I just ran the upgrade without uninstalling root. Upgrade took about 25 minutes, auto rebooting twice. No problems. Results - All my appliications and setting remained intact. Root...

Anyone not having the "Sleep of Death" issue?

I started out with the tab working fine (no SOD) for about 1 month. Then I went through a period of fairly often SODs. I did a factory data reset and they went away for about a week. Then they started happening again. I rooted - no help. Then last week it started happening a lot. I went to XDA...

Two things I have noticed with the update

I must have gotten a different upgrade. My Kindle app still jumps two pages. If anything it seems worse.

Thoughts from Original Tab Owners who made the upgrade.

I bought the original Sprint Galaxy Tab for $550 in November of 2010. Now in November of 2011 I bought the Tab 7 plus for $400. 16x the built in memory, 2.8 times the processor speed. Android 3.2 vs 2.2. Faster WiFi and an ir blaster. What's not to love? Plus its lighter, thinner and the rounded...

Anyone not having the "Sleep of Death" issue?

I have a wifi 16gb version purchased from Amazon when it first came out. It happened twice within the first 3 days but has not occurred since. I did a factory reset data early on to fix another issue so maybe the reset fixed it.

Apps being used as phone style and not Tablet.

Apps that were written before 3.2 used their own methods to determine whether they were running on a tablet or a phone. The method that many used was by looking at screen resolution. Since all the tabs before 3.2 came out were 10.1" and had resolutions of 1280x800 that is how many apps...

    Fantastic Tablet but

Well, I guess it all depends on whether you want what's here now or you are willing to wait for something that might be on the way. It seems to me that there is not a lot of room in the pricing scale to fit a 7.7 premium tablet in the Samsung lineup. It's features seem to beg for a $500+...

Automatically turn on when plugged in

If it is really off then plugging it in will put it in a charging mode and the screen will display a big charging battery. The tab is not booted up at this point. You have to do a long press on the power button to get the get it to boot up. I have not totally drained the battery but I would...

    Great news about accessories

I just tried my origina galaxy tab dock on the 7 plus. It fits and the charging connector works. So you can probably use most of the old tab accessories with the new one

    Honeybar works great!

Since the app says that root is required, does that mean your tab is rooted? If so, how did you do it?

    Bug List

I too find the Kindle app has two pager from a tap. I use a slide rather than a tap and that reliably turns 1 page. More vexing was constant force closes from the email app. This happened after I installed a bunch of 3rd party apps. Not sure which one was causing the problem but I ended up...

    Anyone running 2.3?

I installed the CM7 nightly this week. It has been extremely stable. Two features that make it very worthwhile are: 1) Overclocking. I am running my Hero at 748Mhz rather than the stock 691. It has been rock solid, does not get too hot and is noticeably snappier. I was on the verge of changing...
