I don't think that anyone was saying that removable batteries would not have failed. I've only seen comments that speculated that it would have been easier to do the recall if the batteries had been accessible by users.

Yes, as long as the user can fully disable the LED notification light, I don't mind it being there for people who will use it. I have hated the light on phones like the HTC One X. No matter what, I couldn't actually disable that light even though I had it turned off in settings.

I use my Note 4 for work and have the LED notification light disabled. Even if I didn't have the Galaxy Gear, I would disable the LED notification because the flashing light annoys me.

I was surprised at how much I liked the iris scanner on the Lumia 950. If Samsung does it as well as Microsoft did, I'll be impressed. I do have a later model Lumia 950, though.

The Note Edge was a nice phone, but I don't think that two curved, smaller edges will bring the same experience. I would prefer a flat version over one with two curved edges.

OK, so you're saying that the factory unlocked Z10 has the boot animations for both Rogers in Canada and T-Mobile US? The phone reads the SIM and then downloads the files OTA for that carrier. Every time I switched SIM cards, I had a small "update" to download first.

Some BlackBerry devices pulled the boot animation files (and other apps) from the SIM card that was inserted into the phone. It sounds like the same thing is happening with the Priv. My factory unlocked Z10 always booted with the animation from whichever carrier's SIM card I had in the phone...
