New cables came in today. Plugged the tablet in ( while on ) and it is charging. All is working good. Thank you guys for the advice. .

OK, I just bought some brand new, genuine Samsung cords. When they get here, I'll give them a try and let you guys know what happens.

Yes it is the stock factory cable and charger. For the last year and a half it has always charged while I was using the tablet. It has only been the last 3 days it will not charge while using it. I have been powering it down and charging at night. I'll go check if it does anything different...
