Why should I choose the Nexus 5?

Re: why i should choose nexus 5 !! Well, to be fair, you should also point out that the battery is not (not easily) user replaceable, and the Nexus 5 doesn't have on-board storage expandability (no SD card). While these aren't issues for me and many others, because we have good...

Nexus 5 users, how has your Battery Life held up?

I'm rooted, but on the stock kernel and OS (ROM), and got similar results before rooting. Normal use for me, the battery will usually last me through two work days until I feel it should be recharged (20% to 30% remaining). I turn syncing on apps I don't need live notifications to being...

Why should I choose the Nexus 5?

Re: why i should choose nexus 5 !! Which Galaxy (phone?) do you have? Anyway, the Nexus 5 is likely "better" than your current device. More powerful hardware, and runs updated vanilla Android, so little to no bloatware along with the newest Android OS. Those reasons aside, it's a matter of...

    Nexus 5 HDMI in question

I'm pretty sure the Micro USB/SlimPort/HDMI port on the Nexus 5 is internal hardware and Android OS (ROM) capability limited and won't be able to take video input and do anything with it. I might be wrong, but I doubt it.

Is there a danger in giving this info out?

What do you mean by "security?" Are they going to setup a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot and comb the world to see if they can pick up your mac address in the off chance you'll connect to their network so they can say, "Ah ha! That Nexus 5 I saw listed for sale is somewhere near here!"? I think the odds...

    The Nexus 5's Price

I use the "cloud" (both my own free one [no additional cost], and Google's free one) for all my media (music, video, pictures, etc.) storage for two reasons. One, so I can access it from any device (with internet connectivity), and two, because no amount of on-board storage on a mobile device is...

    Easy Rooting Guide Using CF-Auto-Root

This is from another thread I made in another forum, but I thought the Nexus 5 users that visit here might want to use it as well. I hope it serves you well...

    Nexus 5: HDR+ - when to use?

Re: HDR+ - when to use? No, you wouldn't. You would just have to modify (or not) the original photo to try and make it look better, the same way iOS does. Granted, at least iOS does this for you. I suppose it would be nice having the option to choose if you want to keep one of the 3 shots...

    16gb Or 32gb Nexus 5

Go for the 32GB. I don't store any media on my Nexus 5, and just have apps including games installed on it. I'm OK for now, but my 16GB Nexus 5 only has 3GB available now. Again, that's without any media (pictures, video, audio, etc.) being stored on it. I got the 16GB model since I knew I...

Nexus 5 vs iPhone 4s camera

A friend of mine who is the proud new owner of a golden iPhone 5S took some shots side by side me with my Nexus 5 at a late evening party. We both agree the Nexus 5 took noticeably beater shots in the lower lighting conditions. The images were sharper on the Nexus 5, colors looked better and...

    Nexus 5 Camera

I'm actually rather impressed by the Nexus 5's camera since the 4.4.2 update. I pretty much only use HDR+. I also never use the flash, since it takes such good low light photos, and keeps the image truer to the eye's point of view. Great for both daytime outdoors, and inside at night provided...
